Virtual online meeting 25 - 27 May 2021

Our 2nd international online meeting

From May 25th to May 27th, 2021, an international online meeting took place for the second time with our partner schools from Finland, Portugal, Italy and Croatia. But this time it was initiated by the Croats.

On May 25th, after being welcomed by the Croatian headmistress, we were divided into ten groups and sent to different virtual rooms. There we should clarify the question of whether and to what extent we have committed ourselves to tasks in distance learning. Immediately afterwards we were divided into groups again and were supposed to talk about online classes in general and should explain how online classes worked in our school, how we behaved in stressful situations and finally created our own online class from a teacher's point of view. In the end, our results were presented to everyone.

On the second day, at the beginning of the meeting, we were divided into groups again and discussed further questions about our social environment and then presented them to the other participants. After that we did a quiz in which we were asked to answer questions about distance learning, e.g. how quickly we gave up on complicated tasks or how often we had friends send us solutions.

On the third and thus last day of the meeting, we were divided into groups at the beginning as on the two days before and were supposed to talk about who we would most likely invite to our birthday party. Many groups were already finished before the end of the group work and therefore exchanged ideas about themselves. Then we presented and showed the result of the quiz from the day before. Finally, we were given the task of making a handout among the countries in their own teams with tips for online lessons and what you can do to make distance learning feel as comfortable as in real lessons.
